251 years ago on December 19, 1768, a wonderful little girl was born in France. Her parents, Jean-Baptiste Rivier and Marianne Combe named her Marie. Her siblings Cécile and Louis also rejoiced at this new addition to the family. She was baptized two days later in a local chapel.
This persistent faith-filled child grew up to found a religious congregation which is celebrating 225 years of existence: The Sisters of the Presentation of Mary.
As Sisters of the Presentation of Mary and our associates: let us pray to Blessed Marie Rivier that she may accompany us today… and always. Let us also thank God for bringing Marie Rivier into this world.
