JANUARY 18-25, 2021
The biblical text chosen for this year is:
“Abide in my love and you shall bear much fruit” (John 15, 5-9)
This week let us all join in prayer for Christian Unity throughout the world.
Pope Francis reminds us the importance of human fraternity; he calls us to set aside our differences and pray for unity and love among all faiths.
During these days of the Coronovirus Pandemic let us connect and pray especially for the sick, for all those that need to heal and need reconciliation
Let us as brothers and sisters abide with God and with each other in a silent prayer as we seek God’s grace to live in full fellowship with each other.
With great confidence, let us open our hearts for a greater unity so the Lord can make us one by saying every day, the “Our “Father” which is a strong prayer that unites us to abide in his love.
We may also say this prayer: from Pope Francis
Lord, Father of our human family,
you created all human beings equal in dignity:
pour forth into our hearts a fraternal spirit
and inspire in us a dream of renewed encounter,
dialogue, justice and peace.
Mover us to create healthier societies
and a more dignified world,
a world without hunger, poverty, violence and war.
May our hearts be open
to all the peoples and nations of the earth.
May we recognize the goodness and beauty
that you have sown in each of us,
and shared dreams. Amen.
