Mary lived in Nazareth, one day an angel appeared to her to ask her if she would accept to be the mother of God. First, God waited for Mary’s response. She accepted to be God’s mother yet keeping her vow of virginity. Her ‘yes’ was very important as she said “I am the servant of the Lord, let it be done according to your word”.

Jesus will be the son of God through the power of the Holy Spirit as announced by the Archangel Gabriel. So Mary will truly be the mother of God. As you pray your rosary today, ponder on these words in the Hail Mary.
Let us remember that the Word of God has become part of our human flesh and Jesus the Word of the Father became human through Mary.
Let us ask the Holy Spirit to inspire us today as we say our ‘yes’ to the different events that will take place in our lives this week.
Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of death. Amen.
