MARIE RIVIER WILL BE CANONIZED!

During this fourth joyful Advent week we will celebrate Marie Rivier’s birthday on December 19^th.  She was born in 1768.

On Monday, December 13^th, we received the good news that she will soon be canonized.  Mother Marie Rivier will be proclaimed a Saint by Pope Francis in Rome. We await the date and the place of this celebration.

The miracle needed for this canonization happened in the Philippines.  In 2015, a little girl named Angel Marie Vier Digamo was miraculously cured.

WITH GREAT JOY AND ENTHUSIASM we praise and thank God for this great event. The Sisters of the Presentation are grateful  to the Church for recognizing this remarkable miracle. We thank everyone who prayed persistently for Marie Rivier’s canonization.

What a wonderful way to end the celebration of our 225^th of our foundation!
