October is the month of the Holy Rosary.  Let us find ways to honor Mary on her feast day,” by saying the rosary.  Let us pray for world peace and unity through her intercession.  Saint Marie Rivier had a great devotion in Mary.  She trusted and confided all her projects to her.

The Rosary is the most beautiful prayer and is the richest in graces; it is the prayer that touches the Heart of the Mother of God… if you wish peace to reign in your homes, recites the family Rosary.                        Pope Saint Pius X

In October, a beautiful day is set aside called Thanksgiving Day.  It is a holiday in Canada.  People used to give thanks for the tradition of the harvest celebrations.  It is a time for family gatherings to enjoy a delicious meal in thanksgiving for the produce of the land.  Let us not forget the turkey dish and the pumpkin dessert.  Let us not forget the turkey dish and the pumpkin dessert. What a treat!                                                                                                                                                It is autumn.  Let’s enjoy and admire the beauty of nature, the spectacular colors of this Canadian autumn, with its gold hue of leaves that soar in the sky and wave a goodbye while the ducks, geese and the birds go south.

“Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other colors”. Jim Bishop

Across the country at this time, people take time to rake leaves, shut their cabins, bring in the garden produce, put away flowers etc.

Autumn is also a time set apart to give thanks for all the favors and benefits we have received from God, our Creator.
