Today we celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints.
We are all called to be saints, let us first honor and pray to our first Canadian Saint, Marguerite d’Youville canonized in 1990. She had an unconditional love for Jesus Christ and a Christian love for the poor.
Let us also not forget our foundress Saint Marie Rivier, canonized on May 15, 2022. She had a great devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. She prayed the rosary and obtained all she needed during her life. During this month of November, let us pray to these two saints that they may assist us in our everyday life.
We are all called to be saints; let us try to be faithful to Jesus’ everyday call. Jesus wants us to follow him in his footsteps. It is good to have an authentic relationship with Jesus. To keep in contact with him, we can say a private short prayer in the morning and at any time of the day, God is listening! It is good to keep the focus of our life on God’s will, seek him, trust him, and ask him how we can be grateful to others.
The pathway to sainthood is to trust and have a great confidence in God!
“The Lord is near to all who call on him”. Ps 145; 18
Receiving the love of Jesus is a joy for us. Ask Jesus to give you his love. You are precious in his eyes; he gives us life, love and blessings. Ask his graces so he can resolve some of your problems or heal you. Once you get to know him you will grow in intimacy with him and feel his presence. Then you will want to share your joy and the love of Jesus to others.
“We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us. God is love and whoever remains in love remains in God and God in him”. 1John 4; 16

As we celebrate All Souls Day, let us pray for our deceased members and benefactors especially for our own relatives and friends. May the Lord shine his perpetual light on them and may they rest in peace. Let us put all our confidence and hope in God our Savior. God wants us to believe in him and have eternal life. Heaven is where all the saints and angels are worshipping God with all those who have gone before us. Let us be aware of this and pray attentively to God our Father. One day we will see him face to face in heaven!
