Marion Aquatics offers educational and fun swimming programs for all ages and levels of ability from infants to elderly. These programs include: Red Cross swimming lessons, parent and todler swim, aquacise, lane swim, and family swim.

Canadian Red Cross Swim Lesson Safety Guidelines (excerpt)
Marion Aquatics will be following the Canadian Red Cross Safety guidelines to deliver swim lessons
- Water Safety instructors will deliver swim lessons from the deck (unless needed in the water for demonstration etc., but will remain 2m apart from patrons).
- All Red Cross Preschool programs and Swim Kids levels 1-4 will require a Parent/Guardian in the water to assist your swimmer(s).
- Swimmer and parent/guardian should maintain physical distancing with others in and out of the water.
- The number of swim classes offered and the number of participants in each class will be reduced in order to maintain physical distancing requirements.
- No instructional equipment, toys & accessories will be available.
- Participants may bring their own goggles and swim caps, but these should not be shared by other swimmers.
Red Cross Preschool Programs (PS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
- Red Cross Swim Preschool levels have been adapted as parented classes to ensure physical distancing.
- A parent/guardian (16 years old)is required to be in the water with their child during all preschool swim lessons.
- A maximum of one parent/guardian per lesson participant. If two participants from the same family or household are together in the same class, one parent/guardian may be in the water for both participants.
- Participants are asked to physical distance during the swim lesson, maintaining two (2) metres apart from others
Red Cross Programs – Swim Kids (SK 1 -4) and (SK 5-10)
- Red Cross Swim Kids Levels 1-4 have been adapted as parented classes to ensure physical distancing.
- A parent/guardian is required to be in the water with their child during all Swim Kids levels1-4 swim lessons.
- Deep water activities for these levels will be changed to chest deep (where applicable) to accommodate parents/guardians who may not have swimming abilities.
- Rescue skills in Swim Kids 5-10 will be modified so that the participants do not come into contact with each other or will be removed from the program.
Marion Aquatics Program Participation Information
- Preschool/ Swim Kids 1-4 will be parented. Swim Kids 5-10 are drop and go.No spectators will be allowed.
- All patrons must wear a face mask when entering the building. It may be removed on the deck when you can social distance.It cannot be worn in the water.
- Upon arrival, you will be greeted, screened, and have your temperature taken.
You will not be allowed to enter the deck/pool if you answer YES to the following questions:
- Have you been in close contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19?
- Do you have fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell?
- Come prepared for your swim lesson to limit the amount of time required in the change room.
- Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes prior to your scheduled swim lesson.
- Water fountain is closed due to Provincial restrictions.Please bring your own water in a non-glass bottle.
- Lockers will NOT be available. Bring a bag for your street clothes. You will bring your bag out of the change room with you and put it at a designated space on the deck.
- At the end of the swim lesson, leave as quickly as possible so staffhave time to sanitize before next group.
