Come and Go Tea

1 Saskatoon house

On October 5, 2019, the Sisters of the Presentation held a Farewell Come and go Tea at their Discernment House, 851 University Drive, Saskatoon.  The Discernment House was opened in 1968 by Sister Pauline Sevigny and Sister Lise Paquette.  For many years, the Sisters have opened their doors sharing Mother Rivier’s charism to educate the faith of young adults. The Sisters have facilitated many vocational, discernment retreats for young women and men. The spiritual direction the young people received has impacted their lives.  From the beginning, young ladies were invited to experience a “Live-in Program” with the Sisters to share their community and prayer life.  Anyone living with the Sisters was either a University student or employed at a definite job.

During the Come and Go Tea, Sisters, friends and family gathered to share memories and a hearty lunch.  Laughter, tears and hymns of gratitude filled the hours spent together.

Presentation Sisters: Lucie Hamel, Emma Rousseau and Cindy Lewans will continue their ministries at 914 Paton Bay in Saskatoon.  The blessing of our new residence by Bishop Mark Hagemoen on March 6, 2020 was attended by the Provincial Superior, Sister Lise Paquette, her Assistant, Sister Priscilla Houde and the Administration community.
