groupJune 19th, 2018, was a day of rejoicing for three Sisters of The Presentation of Mary of Prince Albert who celebrated the anniversary of their Profession in religious life.

Sister Raymonde Ouellette – 65
Sister Elizabeth Decorby – 60
Sister Mariette Bilodeau - 60

We Sisters, the Lord has enabled you to do great things for Him as instruments of his love and as stewards of His mercy. He chose you to bear lasting fruit (cf. Jn 15:16), and you have been doing that with joy and faithfulness, for sixty and sixty-five years!thank them for answering God’s call and living the mission of Mother Rivier. We also thanked the Lord for the fidelity and generosity they have brought to our community and for their presence to the people they have served and touched during their teaching years as well as in the different ministries they served in the many parishes and towns both in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

In the morning, Father Maurice Fiolleau celebrated the Eucharist at their intentions. He blessed them and encouraged them to continue to attach themselves to Christ and to be fruitful in the years ahead. He also asked them to continue to pray for vocations.

A short program with the theme of “flowers”, intermixed with the evening prayers was offered to the jubilarians in the afternoon. The year, month and day of a person's birth is thought by many to play a significant role in shaping that individual's character and future. What better image to choose a flower, how it grows, blooms and gives beauty to its surroundings! The room was decorated with a wide variety of lovely flowers. ‘Life is like a garden!’

Following this program, we all enjoyed a Chinese food meal. Then Sister Suzanne Papen shared some fraternal words of praise for each jubilarian as they opened their gifts.

This “get-together” contributed to ‘what makes the happiness of a community.’

We congratulated and wished our jubilarians
God’s goodness and kindness for many more years to come.
