It was with gratitude and great joy that, on Sunday, July 29th 2018, we celebrated God’s fidelity in the lives of two of our Sisters: Sister Lise Paquette and S. Jeannine Corbeil. They celebrated fifty years of religious profession as Sisters of the Presentation of Mary at the Provincial House of Prince Albert.
St. Paul said to the Philippians: chapter 4:4
“REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS, I WILL SAY IT AGAIN: REJOICE”
Most Reverend Albert Thevenot, m.afr, bishop of the diocese of Prince Albert concelebrated the Eucharist in thanksgiving with two other priests. In his homily, the bishop congratulated the two jubilarians and expressed his joy and appreciation for their generous services in the community, the Church and the diocese. He encouraged them to continue praying for the increase of vocations, to bring the Good News of Jesus to all people. During the celebration the Sisters renewed their vows of total commitment to the Lord.
After the Celebration, a festive banquet was prepared and enjoyed by all. Then, to underline the life of the jubilarians, we assembled in the Community Room to visualize a delightful Power Point highlighting the main events in their lives. We listened to two talented musicians who entertained us with their music and songs.
We praise and thank God for His fidelity, faithfulness and unconditional love for our two jubilarians throughout their 50 years of dedicated services rendered in our community. They have been graced to accomplish great things during their consecrated life. We extend our heartfelt thank you!
Sister Lise and Sister Jeannine… may Jesus be the joy of your hearts as you continue to be instruments of joy to serve your brothers and sisters in the world!
