In the afternoon of December 25th 2019, the sisters visited their infirmary house which was well decorated for the season. All enjoyed themselves by socializing, opening gifts and singing Christmas carols. After a special lunch, well prepared by our cooks, the sisters took the opportunity to express their heartfelt thank you to their head nurse, Mrs. Doris Staflund, RN. A gift was presented to her in recognition of her 12 years of service at the infirmary. She will now be replaced by Diane Miller. But Doris will still keep her job at the infirmary as a care-giving nurse.

We thank them for their excellent care, for their services so well done. They are special persons to us; we appreciate their compassion, love and understanding. We are grateful for still having them in our midst.

“A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal.” Steve Maraboli,

At the end of the afternoon, the sisters got together to pray their evening prayers, called the ‘Vespers.’

‘MAY IT ALWAYS BE CHRISTMAS IN YOUR HEART TILL THE END OF THE YEAR 2020.’

As we begin this New Year we ask God to inspire and guide you, that in all that you do may find in Him its beginning and fulfillment. Amen
