THIS FEAST DAY IS VERY SPECIAL TO THE SISTERS OF THE PRESENTATION OF MARY. THEIR FOUNDRESS MARIE RIVIER IMITATED THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY. AT THREE YEARS OLD THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY WAS BROUGHT TO THE TEMPLE BY HER PARENTS,” AS WAS THE CUSTOM”, TO BE OFFERED TO GOD. WITH GREAT JOY SHE WAS RECEIVED AT THE FOOT Of THE ALTAR BY THE HIGH PRIEST SIMEON. SHE STAYED IN THE TEMPLE AT LEAST FOR 12 YEARS, PRAYING AND MEDITATING.

AT THREE YEARS OLD, MARIE RIVIER WAS ALSO BROUGHT BY HER PARENTS TO THE TEMPLE TO PRAY IN FRONT OF THE PIETA, OFFERING AND BEGGING MARY TO HEAL HER. SHE WOULD SPEND A FEW HOURS EVERY DAY IN FRONT OF THE STATUE OF MARY.

God gave Marie Rivier, our foundress, some extraordinary virtues to enkindle in her heart for her intense prayer life. Later in life, she and her four companions opened a convent. They consecrated AND DEDICATED their lives to the glory and service of the Lord Jesus on November 21st. They became Sisters of the Presentation of Mary. This was the beginning of their religious life. We are still called today to consecrate ourselves to Jesus and Mary and to work for the glory of God and for the salvation of others. We are all called in a unique way. God has given us a gift! We Trust in the Word of God. We are the Temple of the living God!

Like Mary, let us give glory to God in all things, keep his grace, his word in our hearts and take Jesus Christ to others.

HAPPY FEAST DAY TO ALL! LET US LIVE IN A JOYFUL SPIRIT OF OFFERING LIKE OUR LADY OF THE PRESENTATION AND SAINT MARIE RIVIER.

ALL FOR GOD, ALL THROUGH HIS HOLY LOVE.
