As we rejoice at the beauty of spring when all nature is starting to bloom, we celebrate the month of May which has been dedicated to Mary. It makes us think of her who accepted the new life of our Savior Jesus Christ, for the whole world to see and honor during this Easter season. Let us thank God for the gift of Mary, our Mother and servant.

But first of all, let us remember the feast day of Saint Joseph, the worker, on May 1st. He was a carpenter, the husband of Mary, who tenderly took care of Jesus. May he protect and guide us as he did with his adopted son, Jesus.

Mary was very faithful to God when she was chosen to be the mother of Jesus. Let us be faithful to her also. I encourage and invite you to have a deep devotion to her by reciting the rosary every day. She is our mother full of grace; let us ask her for her help for our daily lives, for friends, and relations, and for all those that suffer the consequences of war. Mary is our hope!

Let us remember Saint Marie Rivier who was canonized last year on May 15th in Rome. She was a lover of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and asked her for countless things during her life as the foundress of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary. Like any other Mother, Mary always answered her requests, her wishes and prayers and made many miracles for her. Let us pray to her and confide all our problems and worries.
