Sister Aline was the daughter of Jean-Baptiste Blais and Leontine Paquette, the 6th child of a family of eight children. She was brought up in a religious atmosphere. Her first years of schooling were from grades 1-8 in Mattes, SK, and continued at Stobart School in Duck Lake. In 1948, Sister Aline entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary.
She taught at St. Paul’s School in Prince Albert, in the Separate and Public High Schools in Spiritwood, in The Pas and St. Lazare, Manitoba. For many years she became the Religious Coordinator for the Sunday School at Holy Rosary Church in Winnipeg, MB. Her organizational and communication skills were remarkable and appreciated by the parish.
When her health diminished Sr. Aline was transferred to Mont St. Joseph Home in Prince Albert. We are thankful to the staff who gave her excellent Health Care.
Sister Aline will be remembered for her deep faith, her love for the Blessed Virgin Mary, her zeal and joyful dedication in the service of God and God’s people.
May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, rest in peace.
