OBITUARY:

Beverly attended school in The Pas, Man. She was a resident student at the Academy Presentation of Mary in Prince Albert for her graduating year. Beverly joined the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary and became Sister Joanne-Marie in February 1965. She obtained her training as a registered nurse at the St. Boniface School of Nursing. Over the years she nursed in the Infirmary Presentation of Mary at three different intervals. She also enjoyed the challenge of working in the Emergency Department of the Holy Family Hospital. She worked in Pastoral Care and Palliative Care in St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon and the Holy Family Hospital in Prince Albert. She will be fondly remembered by the many patients and family members that she ministered to during those years. Sister Beverly was also an active member of numerous committees and organizations, in particular CHAS (Catholic Health Association of Saskatchewan). In recent years, she was the Director of Care of her community’s infirmary in Prince Albert where staff and patients benefited from her knowledge and administrative abilities. Her Sisters of the Presentation, her patients, and Infirmary staff will remember her as a keen intellect, a person of vast knowledge, a competent nurse and definitely a lover of books.

May she rest in God’s love and peace.
