On Tuesday, a gathering of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary and Staff took place at our Infirmary to show appreciation to our retiring Continuing Care Aide, Wendy Weir, who has been with us for approximately 25 Years. ‘A big thank you came from the hearts of the Sisters, thanking her for her dedication and commitment and wishing her the best for a prosperous future.
Coffee Break with juice and iced tea set the stage for an informal moment of exchanging memories. The Gift Opening revealed some very useful items (dish cloth, card holder, certificate etc.) in view of her upcoming planned travels with their motor home. Other gifts included flowers, a fancy scarf (for “Show & Tell”!).
Sr. Esther presented Wendy with the winning Bingo card for Outstanding Bingo Caller at 3101.
On behalf of the Sisters at the Infirmary, Sr. Janice created a card/photo story of Wendy’s time with us.
Wendy thanked us profusely for honoring her at retirement and assured us she would be available for Bingo (PRN) as needed. Before we all went our various ways, a group picture was then taken of staff present.
