We begin this new month by celebrating Saint Joseph, the Worker. He was the husband of Mary. He was a carpenter and took care of Jesus as he worked with him. He was a pure and devoted man. Let us pray to him and ask him to be our protector and guardian during our lives, during our trials and troubles.

We say May is the month of Mary, the Mother of Jesus, who is both divine and human. During this spring season as it brings new life and where everything starts to bloom, the season reminds us of Mary, Mother of God the Son, who brought new life to the world. She is a good model of faith, who pronounced her heartful “yes” to be the mother of Jesus from the “Annunciation to the Cross.” She is full of grace. God showered her heart with messianic joy, and she responded with generosity and gratitude.
The Lord also manifests his love to us so we can get closer to him. Mary’s joy was to be in the presence of the Lord, she was grateful, and faithful.
On Sunday, May 10th will be Mother’s Day. We ask the Lord to bless all mothers for all they do for their children. May the Lord fill them with peace and many graces, protect and comfort them every day.

Let us ask Mary to help us in our everyday needs as we pray our rosary and experience the presence of the Lord. We will also find the joy as we say the prayer of the “Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee………”
One good prayer to say is Mary’s song of praise: The Magnificat from Luke 1;46-1;55
“My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked on the humble estate of his servant.
For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed;
for he who is mighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his name.
And his mercy is for those who fear him
from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with his arm:
he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts;
he has brought down the mighty from their thrones
and exalted those of humble estate;
he has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel
in remembrance of his mercy,
as he spoke to our fathers to Abraham and to his offspring forever.”
